Hauling, disposal and remediation

// For waste management companies

AI for waste management companies: start where tickets become bills.

For haulers, transfer stations and landfills, and for environmental services and remediation firms that bill by the load. Start with one job: invoice lines drafted from scale tickets, weight tickets and waste manifests. We test it free on copies of 20 to 30 loads you already billed, without touching your scale house or billing software.

// Why billing first

Every billed load already has its paper trail

Each load you billed left two things behind: the ticket or manifest, and the invoice line your billing team wrote from it. Put 20 to 30 of those pairs together and your reviewer has an answer key for every draft. Nobody needs new paperwork to start.

The paper comes from everywhere. Your own scale house prints one kind of ticket, each outside landfill or transfer station prints another, a driver sends a photo of a handwritten slip, and a treatment facility sends back a manifest with its own notes on it. That variety is the job, and it is why the old loads should be a normal mix, not the clean ones.

Billing also happens after the truck is back. A drafted invoice line can wait for a person to approve it without holding up a route, so the trucks run the same whether or not a draft is right. That makes it a safe place to test AI first.

If you have been buying other haulers, each one came with its own price list and billing habits. Billing is where those differences show up, and it is the desk that has to absorb them.

Remediation and environmental services firms bill the same way on the transportation and disposal side of a job. Each load of soil or debris has a receiving facility's ticket, often a manifest, and a per-ton line on the client's invoice with the ticket as backup.

Hazardous waste manifests are regulated records, so the proof of concept only reads copies. It never signs, submits or changes a manifest, and it never logs in to EPA's e-Manifest system. Nothing on this page is legal advice.

// How the proof of concept runs

Three steps before anything goes live

  1. Step 01

    Copies of billed loads

    After the NDA, you send 20 to 30 old tickets and manifests with the invoices they became, plus the rate sheet you billed from. We call this step the sandbox: a free test on your own paperwork. Nothing connects to your systems.

  2. Step 02

    Your reviewer decides

    The owner picks your reviewer up front: the person who knows this billing best. Success criteria and a price range are settled at the same time. The reviewer then checks each drafted line against the invoice you sent.

  3. Step 03

    About 30 days live, after a yes

    The same job runs on new loads. Each drafted line waits for your billing team to approve it before it reaches a customer's invoice.

Priced per job. You get a range before the proof of concept and a fixed price before you sign.

The range comes on the call, once we know how many loads you bill a month and how many outside facilities send you tickets.

// Questions

What waste company owners ask first

Does this touch e-Manifest or our manifests?
No. The proof of concept reads copies of old manifests for billing only. It never signs, submits or changes a manifest, and it never logs in to e-Manifest or any state system.
Which billing or scale software do you need?
None for the proof of concept. It runs on copies, so it doesn't matter whether you bill in Soft-Pak, AMCS, TRUX or a spreadsheet. The billing system matters only once a live run starts, after a yes.
Can it read outside landfills' tickets and handwritten slips?
Put some in the 20 to 30. Your reviewer then sees, load by load, which tickets came through as clean drafts and which were set aside for a person. A ticket the draft can't read clearly is set aside, not guessed at.
We're a remediation contractor, not a hauler. Does this fit?
It fits if you bill transportation and disposal by the load or by the ton. Send the receiving facility's tickets and manifests from a past job, with the invoices that billed them.
Does it replace our scale house software?
No. Your scale keeps weighing trucks and printing tickets. The proof of concept starts after a ticket exists and stops at a drafted invoice line.
