Testing, inspection and calibration

// For testing and calibration labs

AI for testing and calibration labs, starting with the report draft.

For ISO/IEC 17025 labs. Start with one job: test reports and calibration certificates drafted from your worksheets and instrument data. We run it as a free AI proof of concept on copies of 20 to 30 jobs you already closed. Nothing connects to your LIMS, and your own people still review and sign every report.

// Why reports first

The report already has a checklist and a checker

ISO/IEC 17025 already lists what a report or certificate must carry: a title, a unique identification that ties every page to the report, with its end clearly marked, the customer, the method, a clear description of the item, the dates, the results with their units, and the person who authorized it. That list, plus whatever your customers add, becomes most of the success criteria before the proof of concept starts. Nobody has to invent a standard to judge the drafts by.

The standard also says every report is reviewed and authorized before it is issued. That step stays exactly where it is. What changes is what lands on the reviewer's desk: a complete draft with the bench values carried across, instead of a blank template and a stack of worksheets.

Your closed jobs are the answer key. Each one has its raw data and the report your lab actually sent, so your reviewer can set every draft beside the real thing. Include a report that was later amended. Under 17025 a change after issue means an amendment, or a new report that points back to the original, and that is the kind of slip worth catching before a report goes out.

In many labs the reports are written by senior technicians or the quality manager, so time spent typing comes out of bench time and audit prep.

Customer results are confidential, so an NDA covers them, we work only on copies, and if a customer's name or serial numbers can't leave the lab, we make look-alike jobs together with your reviewer.

// How the proof of concept runs

From closed jobs to a yes or no

  1. Step 01

    Copies of closed jobs

    After the NDA, you send the worksheets, instrument files and issued report for 20 to 30 jobs. This is the step we call the sandbox. Nothing connects to your LIMS or your file shares.

  2. Step 02

    Your reviewer compares

    Before it starts, the owner names your reviewer, the person on your team who knows this work best, and we agree the success criteria and a price range. The reviewer reads every draft against what your lab actually issued.

  3. Step 03

    About 30 days on new work

    After a yes, new reports go through the same drafting for about 30 days. Every draft waits in your normal review, and only your authorized signatory issues it.

Priced per job. You get a range before the proof of concept and a fixed price before you sign.

The range comes on the call, once we know roughly how many reports or certificates you issue a month and how many templates you keep.

// Questions

What lab owners ask first

Does the AI sign or authorize our reports?
No. It drafts, and that is all. Review and authorization stay with the people your lab has authorized today, both during the proof of concept and in any live run after it.
Which LIMS or calibration software do you need?
None for the proof of concept. It works on copies you send and never logs in to LabWare, STARLIMS, MET/TEAM or any other system. Your system only comes into it for a live run after a yes, when we work out with you where the drafts should land.
Does this change anything for our ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation?
Nothing in your management system changes during the proof of concept, because it runs on copies, outside your procedures. If a live run follows, your quality manager decides how drafting fits your procedures. We don't give accreditation advice.
Can it work from handwritten bench sheets?
Put a few in the 20 to 30 so your reviewer sees how the drafts handle them. A value the draft can't read clearly is marked for a person, never guessed.
We do both testing and calibration. Which goes first?
Pick the one where finished work waits longest for its paperwork. The proof of concept covers one job, so it is either test reports or calibration certificates, not both at once.
