Certificates of insurance in AMS360, drafted from requests your desk already answered.

For agencies whose commercial account managers build certificates in AMS360's eForms Manager. AI drafts the master certificate and each holder's settings from copies of 20 to 30 requests you have already answered, and your reviewer, whoever on your desk knows AMS360 certificates best, checks every draft against the certificate that went out. Nothing is entered in AMS360, and we never log in to it.

// The one job

A request arrives. A draft master and its holder detail come back for review.

In most AMS360 agencies a request ends on the Add/Edit Certificate Holders form. The account manager finds or types the holder, decides whether the master's wording fits or this holder needs its own, sets the additional insured and waiver marks, and refreshes the forms. First comes the reading: the contract's insurance section, the policy's endorsements, and whether a master already exists for this term.

For the proof of concept, AI reads copies of requests your desk already handled and lays out each answer the way eForms Manager holds it: which master it belongs to, which list the holder comes from, its marks and its wording, with the policy page behind each choice. It writes nothing into AMS360. Your reviewer puts every draft beside the certificate the holder received.

What eForms Manager keeps, and what it lets go

A certificate in AMS360 is an eForm, and it reads the policy as of one date, the one in Get detail based on. If that date falls outside the policy term, no coverage pulls in at all. Anything typed onto the form after that stays in eForms Manager and never reaches the policy record. At a 2019 office-hours session, Vertafore support added that limits typed by hand on the prior version won't carry upon renewal; they have to live in the policy's own data entry. So every limit in the draft is labeled with where it came from: the policy record, or someone's keyboard.

Each holder starts from one of five lists in the Name Selection box: Additional Named Insureds, the Certificate Holder Master List, the Customer Certificate Holder List, Policy Additional Interests or Setup Additional Interests. Write to Cert Master List adds a new name to the agency-wide list after checking name, city, state and ZIP for a match. In the same 2019 answers, Vertafore described that master list as the Additional Interest Setup in the Admin Center and said it can't be exported and is edited one holder at a time. The draft names the list each holder should come from, and it flags a near-match rather than adding a second copy of a contractor you already have.

The marks live on the holder. The additional insured setting, worded X the Add'l Insrd check box for, applies when an additional interest has been entered at the policy or line of business level. Waiver of subrogation is a separate yes or no for general liability, auto, excess and workers' comp. Days of written notice default to 10 until someone changes them. In the draft a mark appears only where an endorsement page supports it, and the notice the contract asks for sits next to the number the form would print.

Renewal is where a master certificate with many holders gets expensive. Renew, from the right-click menu, copies attachments, notes and holders onto a new certificate with no link back to the old one, while copying a certificate leaves holder-level attachments behind. The 2019 answers fill in the rest. Copying holders could carry waiver marks but not additional insured marks, and support pointed to customer-level holder groups, which hold both when they are marked in the group setup. Replace writes over the current certificate, leaving no record of it unless someone saved a copy, and evidences of property go through Update or Replace rather than Renew. Asked about 400 renewal certificates for one client, support said there was no global renewal. So the draft walks the expiring master holder by holder: renew as is, reword, or drop.

Some holder fields never print: Job Type, Job #, Project End Date, and the Licensed and Bonded boxes. When the desk fills them in, they are the fastest way to tell a finished project from a live one. New certificates are numbered CL or CP, then the date as six digits, then a five-digit count, so each draft names the exact certificate it is being compared with. Your reviewer, usually the account manager who renews the biggest holder lists, checks the draft's holder calls against the Certificate Holders report and reads every reworded description.

01

Requests and what each holder received

Every request in the sample with its contract section, lease clause or lender letter, and the PDF that holder got, taken from eForms Manager or the sent email. A master with a long holder list that renewed last year belongs in it.

02

The Certificate Holders report

Run as CSV for the customers in the sample. It lists each holder with issue dates, days of notice, wording and the waiver columns by line, so the marks are scored as well as the PDFs.

03

Policy pages and holder groups

Declarations, forms schedules and the endorsements those certificates depend on, plus any customer holder group exported to CSV.

An NDA before anything leaves

The NDA comes first. No one on our side signs in to AMS360, any other Vertafore product or a carrier site. Where a client's holders can't be shared, your reviewer helps us build stand-ins that keep the awkward cases.

// After a yes

Roughly a month of live requests, still outside AMS360

Meet the success criteria and the next 30 days or so of certificate requests get the same drafts.

Your account managers do every step in AMS360 themselves: picking the holder, setting the marks, renewing or replacing the master, and issuing it under their own signature. The AI never opens eForms Manager, never sends a certificate and never states that anyone is covered. The test's score sheet stays in use all month.

    Holder groups rebuilt from past certificates

    Last year's certificates sorted into customer holder groups with their marks, so the next renewal starts from a checked list.

    Mortgagee and loss payee requests drafted on the right evidence form, ready for an account manager to check and issue.

// One hard limit

No login to AMS360, and no certificate leaves without your licensed staff.

Everything runs on copies and exports. We never sign in to AMS360 or any Vertafore product, and we claim no integration, partnership or certification with Vertafore. A certificate is evidence of coverage, not coverage itself: your licensed account manager decides what it says and issues it. Commercial lines only. AMS360 is named because it is the system you run; it is a trademark of Vertafore, Inc.

Priced per job: a range before the proof of concept, a fixed price before you sign.

You get the range on the call, once we know how many certificates your desk issues from AMS360 in a month and how long your biggest renewal holder lists run.

// Questions

What AMS360 agencies ask

Is this a Vertafore or AMS360 integration?
No. We are not a Vertafore partner and have no integration, connector or certification with AMS360. Everything runs on copies and exports you send, and we never log in.
We're on AgencyOne and see a new certificates screen. Does that change anything?
Vertafore's 26R1 release notes say AgencyOne users can open either a classic or a new version of certificates from the customer center. The field names on this page follow the classic eForms Manager screens. The test runs on what you issued, whichever screen built it.
Do you need our Certificate Holder Master List?
Not as a login, and Vertafore said in 2019 that the master list in the Admin Center can't be exported anyway. The test uses the Certificate Holders report and any customer holder groups you export to CSV, and the draft flags names that look like an entry you already have.
Can it handle lender evidence of property?
Yes, when the sample includes some. AMS360 builds evidence of property as its own eForm, the ACORD 27 by default or the ACORD 28 for commercial property, which adds the lender servicing agent. The draft names the form and fills it for an account manager to check and issue.
