Commercial and healthcare linen plants

// AI for commercial laundries

AI for commercial laundries and healthcare linen plants, tested on invoices and audit files you already closed.

For independent plants that wash for hospitals, clinics, hotels and restaurants under written contracts. Start with linen delivery and invoice checks, or with the audit files a healthcare customer or accreditor asks for. A free AI proof of concept tries one of them on copies of 20 to 30 your plant has already finished, and nothing signs in to your plant system or your billing system. Your reviewer, the person at your plant who knows that work best, has the final word on whether it passed.

Linen delivery and invoice checks

Delivery tickets, pounds or piece counts and the customer's written contract laid side by side before an invoice goes out, unit by unit and item by item, with each difference listed for a person in billing to resolve.

Healthcare linen audit files

A healthcare customer's or accreditor's request assembled from plant records: wash process records, water and chemical logs as kept, microbial reports, clean and soiled separation, training, and a list of what is missing, for your plant manager to review and send.

JOB.03

Hospital linen bid packages

A hospital's or state agency's linen request broken down to one sheet: billing units, service days by location, accreditations named, inventory and reporting duties, for whoever prices the bid.

JOB.04

Usage and par reports

A month of delivered pounds and pieces sorted by unit, clinic or property and set beside each location's par, for your account manager to check before the customer reads it.

// Why these two first

Contracts set the bill, and customers ask for the proof

Large healthcare buyers name both programs. University of New Mexico Hospitals' 2017 laundry request covered more than 3,000,000 pounds a year across the main hospital, a surgery center and 33 offsite locations, with pickup and delivery seven days a week, and it required a contractor accredited by both HLAC and TRSA. HLAC, the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council, dates from July 2005. It accredits plants running healthcare work alone and plants running healthcare and hospitality together, for three years at a time, with renewal inspections in the 60 days before expiry and the right to return unannounced. A plant in that position gets asked for its records by more than one reader.

Contracts mix their billing units. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health, in a request posted December 5, 2025 for four state hospitals, priced flatwork such as sheets and pillowcases and rough dry items such as towels and gowns by the pound, and cubicle curtains and uniforms by the piece. It also asks for exchange carts of clean linen, monthly usage data and compliance with the Joint Commission, CMS and OSHA. Those carts carry paperwork too: TRSA revised its Hygienically Clean Healthcare standard in May 2016 to cover their care and use, and certified plants are inspected on it. Each invoice line needs its own unit before anyone can say it is right.

Lodging can write par as a count by place. Nebraska's 2019 request for linen at two state parks answered one bidder's question this way: 35 king fitted sheets in the cabin, 35 in storage and 35 in the laundry, 105 in all. The same addendum told bidders that towels get folded in half twice. A hotel or restaurant account can read nothing like a hospital contract, and one billing desk may handle both, so the sample should come from your real mix of customers.

Customers keep their own score. UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center's 2016 linen request asked for cost per adjusted patient day, usage by area and facility per patient day, and inventory summaries naming replacement rates, mysterious disappearance, par levels and inventory value. Numbers like those start with the tickets your drivers leave at the dock, which is why a check that runs before billing is the place to begin.

Rules vary with the address. EPA proposed national effluent limits for industrial laundries in 1997 and withdrew them in 1999, concluding that existing local pretreatment authority could handle isolated problems. HLAC's standards expect evidence of wastewater and air permit compliance where it applies, and its inspection guide asks plants to disclose state and local requirements, with California's Title 22 given as an example. One plant's audit file won't match another's, so an honest test runs on your own records. Nothing on this page is legal, medical or engineering advice.

One limit covers both jobs. The proof of concept never touches your plant system, a billing system, a live invoice or a live audit response. It never reads patient information, adjusts an invoice, judges a test result or sends a response, and every sample document must be free of patient information. A person in billing resolves every difference, and your plant manager sends every file.

// How it runs

Three steps from closed paperwork to a decision

  1. Step 01

    Pick the job, name the reviewer

    Your owner names the reviewer, usually the billing manager for invoices or the plant manager for audit files. Success criteria go in writing, you get a price range for running it live, and the NDA is signed before anything moves.

  2. Step 02

    Test it on closed work

    Send 20 to 30 closed invoices with their tickets and contracts, or 20 to 30 past audit requests with the records that answered them, all free of patient information. We call this stage the sandbox: a free test on paper your plant already finished. Whatever can't leave the building gets rebuilt as a look-alike with your reviewer.

  3. Step 03

    About a month live, if it passes

    The same job then runs on new invoices or newly received requests for about 30 days. A person in billing clears each invoice before it goes out, and your plant manager approves each file. Anything further is a fresh decision with its own price.

Priced per job. You get a range before the proof of concept and a fixed price before you sign.

On the call Rob sets the range from three counts: customer contracts you bill under, invoices sent each month, and outside audit requests you answer in a year.

// Questions

What linen plants ask first

Do you log in to our plant system or our billing system?
No. The test runs on copies and exports of closed tickets, invoices, contracts and plant records, whatever printed them. Nobody from Massmarket signs in to your plant system, your billing system, a customer portal or an accreditor's portal.
Will patient information reach you?
No. Every sample document must be free of patient information, and your team confirms that before a copy moves. If a record can't be cleaned, it stays out of the sample or we rebuild it as a look-alike with your reviewer.
We run hospital and hotel work through one plant. Can one test cover both?
Yes, if one billing desk handles both. Pick closed invoices from each kind of account in your real mix, because an account priced by the pound and one priced by the piece go wrong in different places.
Do we need HLAC or TRSA certification to take part?
No. If you hold either, the audit file job can follow its document requirements, and if you hold neither it can follow your customers' lists instead. Neither body has reviewed this test, and it has no bearing on any accreditation.
Will the AI change an invoice or rule on a wash test?
No. It lists differences for a person in billing and copies lab results as the lab wrote them. Adjusting an invoice, judging a test result and sending anything to a customer stay with your staff.
